Why are we in a generation with low self-esteem ?
The cosmetic surgery market has exploded over the years in Africa.
It used to be a luxury, but now it’s just like a tablet of paracetamol.
Individuals with no licence, hold in their hands the life of innocents.
For this project my setting place was Grand-Bassam, the first capital of Ivory Coast.
The first slavery coast in the country. For me this is one of the many cases where
we used to exchange our body for money and freedom.
Superficial is a project about the beautiful woman,
that don’t feel content with their inner selves and body.
That seek other solutions to make them get the physique they dream of.
